The ISMAA Student Journal is a platform for young writers, researchers, musicians, and creative thinkers to publish original work related to music. It encourages students to explore musical ideas, develop academic writing skills, and contribute new perspectives to conversations about music in Asia and beyond.
The Journal welcomes submissions from students with interests in music history, musicology, ethnomusicology, music education, performance, composition, sound studies, music technology, cultural heritage, popular music, and interdisciplinary research.

Who Can Submit
Students from international schools and other eligible educational institutions are welcome to submit their work. Eligibility, word limits, formatting requirements, citation styles, and submission deadlines will be announced in each call for papers.
All submissions should be original, clearly written, and properly referenced.
Editorial Review
Submissions will be reviewed by editors, educators, researchers, and other qualified readers. Selected authors may receive feedback and be invited to revise their work before publication.
The review process is intended to support student learning while maintaining clear academic and editorial standards.
